Who we are
I teach all core subjects in a third grade classroom at Camden-Frontier. This school is located in a small, rural area. We are a title one school, which means that our school provides financial assistance to the students and families that attend our school. The families that make up my classroom do not have a lot of money nor do they have a lot of things, but what they do have, they cherish and take care of. My students receive a free breakfast each morning and a free and reduced lunch, if needed, each afternoon. My students come from a range of experiences and for some of them, school is their happy place as they know they can expect the same thing each day. I provide my students with a safe, positive learning environment where they can flourish and grow as learners, despite what may be happening in their lives outside of school.

Parent Communication
Weekly NewslettersAt the end of every week of school I send home a personalized newsletter to my students' parents. This newsletter provides them with upcoming events, the current and future V.I,P., important dates, and what we worked on in class that week as well as what is to come the following week. It also provides contact information so that parents can contact me easily at any time.

BloomzBloomz is my classroom website. This site allows for me to stay connected with parents through messaging similar to that of an email. Within this site I can upload photos for parents to see what we are working on in class, as well as post or alert information out to parents to let them know of important information such as delays, snow days, and other important information. Students' behavior is also tracked daily through this site and is shown to parents immediately. Students then track their daily points in their data folders.

B.B.T. FoldersEvery day students take home and then turn in their green B.B.T. (Bring Back Tomorrow) folders. This folder is where they keep their homework, take notes and graded work home to parents, and where they bring notes from home. Each night their parents sign the signature paper and date it showing me that they looking through the folder and took out any papers that were for them. They can also leave me a note in the comments section if necessary.
